- Born in Roanoke, VA but from the Boston, MA area, my wife and I moved to Roanoke in 2005. Roanoke was at the time a void of craft brewing. Having tried my hand with some basic brewing kits in the past, I decided to try my hand at it again. Fortunately I was able to meet some wonderful folks at the Star City Brewers Guild of which I am now the 2010 President. It's been three years since I brewed my first batch in Jan. of 2007. This blog space is an ongoing record of that aspect of my life along with my love for BBQ.
